CBD Is The Only Thing That Seems To Ease My Migraines So I Asked A Doctor If There's A Link

I’ve lived with migraines since I was very young. For about 20 years now, I’ve dealt with every single symptom that comes along with them. The unbearable, throbbing pain . The aching of my neck, jaw, and temples. The nausea, sensitivity to light, dizziness, and aura . You name it, I’ve experienced it. When I was officially diagnosed with migraines shortly after elementary school, I didn’t find the relief I had expected — instead, I was met with a series of trial-and-error treatments that rarely worked. Due to the frequency of my migraines, my neurologist tried starting me on preventative medications: one pill that I would take every single day in order to stay ahead of the pain. I was also given pain-relieving medication , which I would take in the event that I still got a migraine. The issue? Almost every single medication I was prescribed gave me disturbing side effects, including but not limited to extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Since the medicati

Head Of Nations Only Federally Legal Marijuana Farm Develops THC Eye Drops

The head of the nation’s only federally approved marijuana farm has revealed that he is developing cannabis eye drops to treat glaucoma. In a podcast interview, pharmacologist Mahmoud ElSohly, director of the University of Mississippi’s Marijuana Research Project, discussed the history of how an eye doctor discovered that cannabis can relieve the interocular pressure associated with glaucoma. But while the THC in the plant treated the symptoms, it also means patients experience the high. “The best way to treat glaucoma is not to take a drug that will affect your brain, affect your ability to function, the whole rest of your body just to lower the pressure inside the eyes,” ElSohly argued. “The way to do this is to develop, let’s say, eye drops, eye drops from marijuana.” Both his lab and a separate, unnamed company that licensed the idea are looking into the eye drop possibility, with the company having already begun clinical trials, ElSohly said. It’s a notable advancement becaus

8 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Using CBD

We’re sure you’ve heard — CBD (a chemical found in the cannabis plant that doesn’t have psychoactive properties) is the latest “it” trend to sweep the health and wellness world. Often marketed as a natural solution to aches and pains, CBD can now be found in food, drinks (CBD lattes are actually a thing), and even skincare products — and consumers can’t get enough . But, are we all properly researching CBD purchases before using them? Since CBD is a newer phenomenon, it lacks the support of substantial scientific research — plus, it’s not an FDA-approved substance ( with the exception of Epidiolex, a prescription drug used to treat seizures caused by two forms of epilepsy: Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome ), which means there is very little regulation regarding what’s on the market. To help you use CBD responsibly, we’ve collaborated with two specialists to find out what you should ask yourself before turning to CBD for relief . Remember, it’s always best to turn to yo

Doctors Find Marijuana In Mans Nose That Hed Forgotten Smuggling Into Prison 18 Years Ago

South by Southwest (SXSW) revealed the festival’s 2020 lineup this week, and it includes 24 panels dedicated exclusively to cannabis issues. The sessions are part of SXSW’s “Cannabusiness” convergence track, which will invite attendees to learn about “the technological, cultural, financial, legal and political ecosystems that are defining the cannabis-focused enterprises of both today and tomorrow,” according to a description on the event site. In July, the Austin-based festival announced that it was soliciting panel ideas from the public. More than 150 marijuana-related panel proposals were submitted —more than double the submissions for this year’s event —and SXSW invited individuals to vote on their top choices throughout August. Ultimately, 24 cannabis-focused panels made the final cut, including one that isn’t in the Cannabusiness Track.
